Well people, my book is entering its end stages and is just about on its way to the printer and then the shelves (although that process isn't exactly a fast one - remember, it comes out in April). We're still dithering over the cover and possibly the subtitle, which is why I haven't done an "official" presentation of the thing yet, but I think it'll be soon.
In the meantime, marketing is already ratcheting up. No cruising boat's provisioning efforts are complete without some Mount Gay rum in the cupboards and the Mount Gay folks figured this out. They then created a blog and a Facebook page dedicated to sailors. What makes a better fit than a sailing blog and a book about sailing?! Lo and behold, A Sail of Two Idiots is now part of their recommended reading with a link to the publishers' version of my video. Very exciting! If that's not enough (and of course it isn't; we're just starting!), some cruising/sailing magazines have asked for an advanced copy of the whole tome, so we should be seeing some excerpts soon in some other outlets as well. I guess this is really happening!
