Ever wonder how many monkey's are on the island? We kept hearing that there were more monkeys than people, but that turns out to be a bit of an exaggeration. After an extensive count, the final count is approximately 16,000. That's more like 1/2 the human population, but still a pretty healthy #.
Normally, I'm rather skeptical about counts like this, but I would think primates would be pretty easy to figure. They do travel in family troupes which would make them pretty identifiable and countable. I've certainly bonded with the ones on my running route. Maybe we're related.
