HURRICANE Earl

So it's official. Earl has decided to become a full-fledged hurricane. Winds are up to 75mph and strengthening.

It's still partly cloudy here and incredibly sticky. You come out of the shower, dry off, get dressed and have to dry off again. A very slight breeze has come up on the sea side (southwest), the ocean side (northeast) is definitely getting windy and choppy.

I just did laundry and am going to help Michael move furniture and plants at work since he can't get any of his guys to come in. We'll check on a friend's boat too. We'll take pictures if there's anything to take pictures of.

Hurricane force winds (74mph+) are extending 30 miles off the center, and tropical force winds still at 160 miles off. Last check had it coming 75 miles of us - so it's still a big question of what we'll actually get. So stay tuned...

Here he comes!
