Welcome to Hurricane Season

Well, it's officially that time of year again - hurricane season - and will be until November 30th. Anything happening out there? Why yes.

1) Invest 93L is sitting off of Florida and went from having a yellow circle (10% chance of development) this morning to an orange one (30% chance). Looks like Jacksonville is going to be having a gusty/rainy day (per NHC). Hope you have a good book Dad!

2) An ugly blob is sitting south of Cuba and has the potential to develop into something. At the moment it's just going to bring some rain misery to Jamaica, Cuba, the Cayman Islands, Haiti, Honduras and Nicaragua starting Thursday (per Weather Underground)

3) A tropical wave (an atmospheric phenomena) has formed way southeast of the Caribbean (no word on if it'll do anything other than just pass over everyone as the others have done).

Time to check the batteries in everything, buy some water, and get a bit organized for what's predicted to be an active season.
