Well, so far it seems we might dodge 2 bullets. Hurricane Danielle is still forecast to go far northeast of us (and has even lost some of its steam); and what will soon be named Earl is predicted to follow a similar pattern. Early this morning, one model (the black one with the triangles) actually had Earl crossing our island, but the model has been slowly creeping further north (like the rest of the model predictions), taking the storm closer to us than Danielle, but still far enough away to take an unsteady breathe in.
The direction of the storm is finally being described as West-NORTH-west as well, so the magic word has been written and I'm much happier now. Of course, I'd prefer it say North-West-North, but we can't have everything.
